A custom-designed marketing website built by a studio usually costs between $5,000 and $25,000 in 2025. Template builds cost less, and complex platforms cost much more. If you are setting a website cost 2025 budget, the price depends on four things: page count, how much is custom, languages and integrations. This guide shows how each one moves the number.

We are a Ukrainian studio that publishes fixed prices, so this is the question we expect first. The honest answer is a range, and then a set of questions that narrow it. Below we give both: the ranges, what sits inside them and how to compare quotes that look nothing alike.

## Website cost 2025: price ranges by type of build

Most websites fall into one of four groups. The group matters more than any single feature, because it decides who works on the site and for how long.

- **Template on a site builder.** You pick a theme, swap the text and photos and pay a monthly plan. Cash cost is low, but your time is the main expense. Good for a first version or a side project.
- **Freelancer with a theme.** One person adapts a theme and sets up the pages. Prices vary widely by country and experience. The risk sits with one person's calendar and health.
- **Studio-built custom marketing site.** Strategy, original design, development, content setup and QA by a small team. This is where most growing companies land, and it is the range this article focuses on.
- **Custom platform or store.** Logged-in areas, complex integrations, catalogs with thousands of products. These are software projects with ongoing budgets, not one-off websites.

For reference, here is how our current fixed starting prices line up. Each package includes a set size, revision rounds and a typical timeline.

## What actually drives the price

When we build a fixed quote, the same handful of inputs do almost all the work. If you know your answers to these, you can predict a quote within a reasonable margin.

### Number of unique page templates

A "page" in a quote usually means a unique layout, not every URL. Ten blog posts share one template. A pricing page, a product page and a contact page are three different templates. Each extra template needs design, build and testing. In our packages each extra template has a fixed, published price, so the total moves in known steps.

### How custom the design is

A site built from a purchased theme reuses decisions someone else made. A custom design starts from your positioning, your audience and your content. That takes discovery, wireframes and at least two rounds of revisions. It costs more, and it is the main reason a studio quote sits above a theme build.

### Languages

Every extra language means translated content, layout checks for longer words and separate SEO metadata. It is never "just a toggle". We charge 12% of the base and extra template cost for each additional locale, because that matches the real work on a typical build.

### Integrations and content setup

A CRM form, a booking tool, a headless CMS, analytics with consent handling: each adds setup and testing time. Copywriting is its own line too. On our price list a CMS setup is $2,000, copywriting is $1,800 and analytics setup is $800.

### Deadline

A fixed launch date that is earlier than the natural schedule means more people working in parallel and more coordination. We add 20% for a priority timeline and 40% for a rush one. Most projects do not need either.

## Why do two quotes for the same site differ so much?

Buyers often hold two quotes for "the same website" where one is three times the other. Usually the scope is not the same, even if the page list looks identical. Check these points before you compare totals:

- **Discovery.** Does the quote include research and a content plan, or does it assume you deliver finished copy and a sitemap?
- **Revision rounds.** Two rounds per stage, or unlimited "until you are happy", which often means slow and vague?
- **QA.** Are browsers, mobile devices, accessibility and performance tested and listed, or only "testing" in one line?
- **Content entry.** Who moves the text and images into the CMS?
- **Ownership.** Do the code, domain and hosting accounts end up in your name?
- **Pricing model.** Is it a fixed price, or an hourly estimate with no cap?

Independent client complaints point the same way. In a review of agency complaints, [Orbit Media](https://www.orbitmedia.com/blog/web-design-complaints/) found most problems were about service and planning, not design skill. A cheap quote that grows during the project is the most expensive kind.

## Costs that show up after launch

The build price is only the first bill. Ask for every recurring cost in writing before you sign. On a typical marketing site these are:

1. **Hosting.** Static and serverless hosting for a marketing site is often modest, but traffic spikes and image delivery can change the tier.
2. **Domain and email.** Small, but they should be registered in your name.
3. **CMS seats.** Some headless CMS plans charge per editor or per locale.
4. **Third-party tools.** Forms, scheduling, analytics and consent tools often have their own plans.
5. **Maintenance.** Dependency updates, security patches and small fixes. Some teams buy a support plan, others keep a small monthly budget. Our 3-month care plan is $1,500.
6. **Changes.** New pages and features after launch. Ask how they are priced before you need one.

None of these are large on their own. Together they decide whether a site that cost $10,000 to build costs $11,000 or $16,000 over its first two years.

## How to read a website quote

A good quote is boring to read. It lists what is included, what is not, what each extra costs and when you sign off. Use this short checklist:

1. Is the total fixed, and does it say what happens if scope changes?
2. Is there a "not included" list with prices or "quoted on request"?
3. Are milestones dated, with a sign-off gate at each stage?
4. Does it name the people who will do the work?
5. Does it list every recurring cost after launch?
6. Does it say who owns the code, design files and accounts?

If a quote fails three or more of these, the low number is not a saving. It is an unknown number that will be decided later, usually by the vendor.

### Budget bands as a starting point

If you need a planning number before you talk to anyone, these bands work on most custom builds:

- **$5,000-$8,000:** a focused site of 5-8 pages in one language, with your content.
- **$8,000-$15,000:** a full marketing site with CMS, copywriting help or a redesign with SEO migration.
- **$15,000-$25,000:** several languages, more templates, integrations or a store.

A worked example from our calculator: a corporate website with 12 page templates, 3 languages, CMS setup and copywriting comes to $14,600.

## Get a fixed number for your project

You do not need to finish a brief to get a realistic figure. Try the [website cost calculator](https://kyvrel.com/website-cost-calculator) with your page count, languages and add-ons, and you will see the line items and the timeline.

If you want to compare packages side by side, see [how much does a website cost](https://kyvrel.com/pricing) on our pricing page, where every package, add-on and change rate is published. For a custom marketing site, our [corporate website](https://kyvrel.com/products/corporate-website) package starts at $8,500 for 8 page templates, with CMS setup, two revision rounds per stage and a written, fixed price.
